The Malaysian starts 18th for Saturday afternoon’s race at the San Marino GP, Buasri close behind
Qualifying in the Finetwork FIM JuniorGP™ World Championship is done and dusted at the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli and leading the Junior Talent Team charge on Friday afternoon was Danial Shahril, as the Malaysian gets set to launch from P18 on Saturday.
Shahril set a 1:44.931 in the opening qualifying session but was able to improve his time by an impressive seven tenths to eventually claim P18 on the grid. A couple of places back in P20 is Tatchakorn Buasri, who finished just over a tenth behind his teammate after also setting his best lap time in QP2. Both riders will be aiming to make solid progress when the lights go out.
One row back from teammate Buasri starts Arbi Aditama in P23 as the Indonesian rookie aims to consolidate his improvements throughout the campaign with a strong showing in Saturday’s race. Meanwhile, fellow rookie Hamad al-Sahouti – standing in for injured Eddie O’Shea – is looking forward to competing in his first JuniorGP™ race from 31st, and with it gain some valuable experience.
The JTT riders and their JuniorGP™ competitors will go racing on the Riviera di Rimini at 17:15 local time (GMT+2).
