Onward to Jerez: Junior Talent Team aims to gain ground in Andalucia

12 September 2024

Round 5 awaits at a true classic, with the JTT raring to get back in action

After the summer break, the Junior Talent Team gets set to tackle the legendary Circuito de Jerez-Ángel Nieto for Round 5 of the 2024 JuniorGP™ season. With only three rounds remaining, every lap is a chance to gain track experience on their Road to MotoGP™.

Danial Shahril, currently 17th with 20 points, has shown impressive flashes of speed and determination throughout the campaign, and he’s aiming to climb higher in the standings. His best finish in 2024 so far is a fifth place and he’ll want to replicate that or more to bounce back from what was a difficult weekend in Portimao.

Amon Odaki (23rd with 7 points) and Arbi Aditama (26th with 4 points) are gaining invaluable experience on this world-class circuit against the best up-and-coming talent. Rookie Odaki took his best JuniorGP™ result last time out in Portimao, finishing P13 despite qualifying 23rd. The more experienced Aditama, meanwhile, took his first points of the season finishing P12 in Race 2. Having missed the opening two rounds through injury, he’s looking to regain his frontrunning form.

Experience is the aim for Thai rookie Jakkreephat Phuettisan, who is still looking to score points but gaining important race experience. He comes to Jerez with a clear aim: move forward and fight for those top 15 positions.

For these young riders, Jerez offers a opportunity to demonstrate their progress and gain laps on a World Championship circuit. As the season nears its peak, the Junior Talent Team riders remain focused on building momentum and learning from every race. With 50 points up for grabs this weekend in JuniorGP™, it’s all to play for in Andalucia!
