Japanese rider takes the Asia Talent Team onto the rostrum once again

Kazuki Masaki took another stunning podium finish in the FIM CEV Repsol Moto3™ Junior World Championship at MotorLand Aragon, fighting for the win on the final lap and finally crossing the line in third. The Japanese rider got a solid start from the second row of the grid and was fighting in the top five initially, before then proving able to push forward and catch the leading trio – just losing out on the victory in the final corner.

Winner last time out Ai Ogura was another who took a good finish at Aragon, crossing the line in ninth to move up a spot following QP.  Andi Farid had a great ride through the field to take eleventh and a solid points finish despite a more difficult qualifying, with Yuki Kunii also taking points and moving up to P15. Somkiat Chantra, after a tough Saturday, was another who made progress – crossing the line in eighteenth as he continues to get back to full strength following injury.

Alberto Puig, Talent Promotion Director: “I think it was a very good race. Masaki was really strong and he had a very good weekend. Ai also had a good race but yesterday he had big crash and maybe he was not 100%, but overall, also Andi, Kunii came back from his injury in the hand. Chantra also but overall we are happy. The race was really fast compared to two weeks ago, the pace was faster, and I don’t know why – maybe the conditions on the track – but it was a fast race. It was very thrilling for us and very positive, especially because all the guys finished the race and we had no crash so we can say that we are happy.”

The Asia Talent Team will now be back in action for the season finale at Valencia on November 19th, with the Championship now wrapped up but another two stunning races to end the season.

As always all of the action can be followed on FIM CEV Repsol YouTube channel.
