The Thai rider starts on the third row while O’Shea, Aditama and Shahril have their sights set on a strong race day
Tatchakorn Buasri, winner of the opening round of the 2022 Finetwork FIM JuniorGP™ World Championship, will have his sights set on another podium charge after qualifying 9th on the grid in Valencia. The Thai rider was unable to better his morning time in the afternoon due track temperatures soaring, but he’ll start from the third row – and it puts the number 33 in the mix as he aims to consolidate his Championship lead.
Eddie O’Shea, a first-time points scorer in Estoril, will start 13th at the Circuit Ricardo Tormo. This is the British rider’s best JuniorGP™ qualifying result and in the warmer afternoon conditions, O’Shea demonstrated his strong speed by finishing P2 in QP2.
Arbi Aditama had been finding small gains throughout the weekend and set his best lap in QP1 too, earning himself a first top 20 starting position. Danial Shahril will start one place behind his fellow rookie and JTT teammate in 21st as the Malaysian set a best lap time of a 1:41.571 in the opening session of the day.
The JuniorGP™ class will compete in two 18-lap races on Sunday where the Junior Talent Team riders will get two bites of the podium cherry. Race 1 action starts at 11:00 local time (GMT+2), with Race 2 kicking off at 14:00.
