The Thai rider will join the Grand Prix paddock full-time next season
Tatchakorn Buasri will join the Moto3™ World Championship grid full-time in 2024! The Thai rider has already made some appearances and is now set to become a Honda Team Asia rider next season, partnering 2021 Idemitsu Asia Talent Cup Champion Taiyo Furusato.
Buasri’s international racing career began in the ATC, where he competed in 2018 and 2019, taking podiums in both seasons and a first race win in 2019. From there, the Thai rider moved to the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup, taking his first points in 2020, first podiums in 2021 and securing a victory in his final season in the Cup in 2022.
Alongside the Rookies, Buasri made his debut with Honda Racing Thailand as part of the Junior Talent Team structure in the 2020 Moto3™ Junior World Championship. He took points in both his rookie season and the year after, before beginning 2022 with victory in JuniorGP™ at Estoril, giving himself the perfect springboard for a season racing at the front. He finished the year ninth overall.
Buasri remains with the JTT in JuniorGP™ for 2023, and has already added some Moto3™ World Championship appearances to his CV. In 2024, he’ll join Honda Team Asia and the Grand Prix paddock full-time, graduating on the Road to MotoGP™!
TATCHAKORN BUASRI: “I am very happy about next year! I need to thank Honda Racing Thailand and Honda Team Asia for giving me the opportunity, and the Junior Talent Team and Idemitsu Asia Talent Cup as well. My target next year is to learn, every race, and if possible to get into the top ten. That’s my target. I’m very happy and very ready! And excited!”
