Jerez saw Ai Ogura on the top step – now the Asia Talent Team are back in action at MotorLand

Ai Ogura took his first win and the first win of the year for the Asia Talent Team at Jerez in Race 2, with Kazuki Masaki once again on the podium in a fantastic day for the riders and team. Now it’s time for MotorLand, with one Moto3™ race, and the chance to back it up with more incredible results.

Ogura will be on a high following his first win, and will be aiming for the front once again. And Masaki, since Jerez, has wrapped up the 2017 Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup – which will be a huge boost for the Japanese rider once again as he goes on duty in the CEV. They will be leading the charge, with compatriot Yuki Kunii also hoping to come back from injury and race at the event to complete the full line up.

Thai rider and reigning Asia Talent Cup Champion Somkiat Chantra had a tough qualifying in Jerez but made incredible progress in the race at the Circuito de Jerez, and he’ll be looking for a good haul of points once more – and to start from further up the grid. Indonesian Andi Farid also got on the scoreboard in Andalucia, and will join Chantra in their push towards the front now the season is back in gear.

Last year, current World Championship riders Kaito Toba and Ayumu Sasaki gave the Asia Talent Team top points finishes – and Masaki got into the top ten. With only one race, it’s all or nothing at Aragon – and plenty still to play for in the points chase.

The race is at 13:00 (GMT +2) on Sunday, with a title on the line for some – and the Asia Talent Team looking to be key protagonists once again.

As always all of the action can be followed on FIM CEV Repsol YouTube channel.
