Reset for the rollercoaster: the Algarve awaits!

Round 4 of the FIM JuniorGP™ World Championship is about to get in gear for the JTT

After the double header in Barcelona, it’s time for two more races and two more chances to get into the fight at the front for the Junior Talent Team as Round 4 of the FIM JuniorGP™ World Championship approaches. The stunning Autodromo Internacional do Algarve plays host, with Danial Shahril, Amon Odaki, Jakkreephat Phuettisan and Arbi Aditama all ready to push for key points in Portugal.

For Shahril, his best finish in 2024 so far is a fifth place and he’ll want to replicate that or more, especially after taking some points in Barcelona but coming home outside the top ten. Last year here he scored a P9, so another step forward as we return to the track is his aim as he continues to gain experience.

Experience is also the name of the game for the rookies, Odaki and Phuettisan. The Japanese rider has taken two points scoring finishes so far, including last time out, and will want to do that again in Portugal. For the Thai rider, there’s been good progress since he joined the grid but that points finish has been elusive so far, so there’s a clear aim.

Aditama, meanwhile, is looking to get back in the groove. After missing the start of the season through injury, it’s been a tough 2024 so far and he didn’t score in Barcelona on his return. However, he did do a Moto3™ wildcard at the Catalan GP – so with more time to get back to fitness and even more experience, he’ll look to get back into that frontrunning postcode.

There are two 15-lap races for the Junior Talent Team on the Algarve, so join us on Sunday at 11:00 (UTC +1) for Race 1 before Race 2 at 14:00!
