After a weekend of points and progress in Valencia, the target gets bigger in Andalucia
After a short dash in Estoril and then two showdowns of mixed fortunes in Valencia, the Junior Talent Team is ready and reloaded for Round 3. The venue is the classic Circuito de Jerez-Angel Nieto and the goal over the two races in Andalucia is clear: get in that fight for the podium.
Tatchakorn Buasri is no stranger to the rostrum, and the Thai rider will want to make a step back towards the front in Jerez after a tougher Valencia. He’s got plenty of experience at the venue, and last season the Honda Racing Thailand rider was in the top five too – so the foundations are there for a push at the front.
Eddie O’Shea, meanwhile, is now back in form after pre-season injury struggles and was the top finisher for the team in Valencia with a sixth place. He is also already a podium finisher – and fittingly, he took that rostrum at Jerez in 2022. He’ll be ready for another assault on the front group as the paddock returns a year later.
For Arbi Aditama, there was also some good news in Valencia, although the Indonesian left empty handed in terms of points. He was up into sixth on a good charge in Race 2 before crashing out, and that should give some encouragement as he aims to become a consistent points scorer.
Finally, Danial Shahril will be back in the JTT ranks in Jerez. After missing two rounds through injury the Malaysian will be raring to get back out on track, but the first mission is check his fitness and set some goals for his return. Points? The top ten? Time will tell.
