Junior Talent Team primed for Portimao

Round 4 is just around the corner with the JTT ready to ride the rollercoaster

The Junior Talent Team is back in action this weekend as Round 4 of the Finetwork FIM JuniorGP™ World Championship lands back in Portugal to take on the Autodromo Internacional do Algarve. Two more JuniorGP™ races give the JTT two more chances to attack for the podium, and they’re primed and ready to go.

Eddie O’Shea leads the way in the standings for the JTT, and the Brit is getting back into form after the first part of the season was affected by injury. He was in the fight at the front in the Jerez and will want the same at Portimao, having already taken a top eight at the venue last year.

Meanwhile Tatchakorn Buasri is next up, and he also returns to JTT action after having completed his first Moto3™ World Championship wildcard. After a tougher season so far than expected, he’ll be looking to leverage that experience to get back to the front, having taken a best of eighth so far in JuniorGP™. Last year on the Algarve he took sixth, so he has some experience in that battle at the track.

Danial Shahril is gaining that too. The Malaysian rider took his best finish yet at Jerez with seventh place, and after good speed but not too many points so far in his JuniorGP™ adventure, it’s a deserved reward to welcome him back form injury. At Portimao he’ll be looking for more of the same, and the same goes for Arbi Aditama. The Indonesian likewise took his biggest points haul yet last time out and arrives buoyed having gained a very first top ten. Can he double down on that on the Algarve?

Find out this weekend as Race 1 gets underway at 11:00 (GMT +1) on Sunday, before Race 2 for the JuniorGP™ class at 14:00!
