The four-rider JTT suits up for another season as Finetwork JuniorGP™ begins in Portugal

Competition is about to get underway in a landmark season for the Finetwork FIM JuniorGP™ World Championship, which begins a new era with a new name as well as celebrating 25 years of racing. The Junior Talent Team will be back on track and part of the action, with the first round now just around the corner at the Circuito do Estoril, outside Lisbon in Portugal.

It’s a four-rider line-up taking on 2022, with ATC graduate Tatchakorn Buasri headlining as he returns for his third season of competition in the class. The AP Honda Racing Thailand rider is now a Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup podium finisher and will be looking to move forward in JuniorGP™, with one point to his name at Estoril from 2021 and the goal to take a good few more this year.

BTC graduate Eddie O’Shea is the other name returning to the JTT fold, and he will continue racing in British Talent Team colours in 2022. His rookie season was one of learning and progress as he took on both the circuits and the bike for the first time, and now he’ll want to start homing in on fighting for points.

There are two rookies joining the team this season. One is Malaysian Danial Sharil, who returned to full-time competition in the ATC last season after being sidelined through injury. He pushed eventual Cup winner Taiyo Furusato – now a Moto3™ rider – to the wire on a number of occasions, and arrives already have won in the ATC as he takes on the new challenge of JuniorGP™. Sharil’s fellow rookie is Arbi Aditama, who impressed with his pace in the ATC and has also joined the 2022 Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup for this season as he gains ever more experience. Where will he and Sharil shuffle into the fold in JuniorGP™? We’re about to find out at Estoril.

There is one race for the JuniorGP™ class this weekend, and it’s lights out at 13:00 (GMT +1) – so make sure to tune in!
